Hi bros,

Yesterday I accidentally knocked my rep pam243 against metal railings while trying to grab hold of my 1 yr old daughter. She was fine but my watch was scatched at the 29min bezel area.

Is there any way to repair it, DIY? I heard that scrotchbrite green pad is good for brushed ss surface. Question is if I brush it with scrotchbrite, will the brushed bezel area becomes polished or with different finishes? Or should I leave it as it is? Sigh....

Sorry I'm new here and need some advises.
Below are the attached pics.

Thanks in advance,
AK

I would not use Scotchbrite pads ..... Dented parts usually have to be replaced unfortunately..

I use a 3000 grit automotive sand paper and it gives a gen like sheen on the case and braclet. Try it out its only 6$ at a automotive store.

I would leave it. Even if it was a scratch you would struggle because of the circular grain.

Agree with the comments above.

I've rebrushed a Pam bezel with good results, but it didn't have the raised polished markers (it was a 236k).

You have to mask off the crystal, bury a flat-head thumbtack in the exact middle of the crystal masking, so a single sharp point is coming out the center. Then you anchor the watch head into the scotch brite pad with the thumbtack, and spin - making sure to apply even pressure. Wipe down a little with a polishing cloth at the end (not enough to change it from brushed to polished, just to give it a little sheen).

You'd have to figure out how to remove the bezel markers to use the above technique, and I have no idea how to do that.

Having a circular brushed, any home job will be worse than the own indentation.
You will need dissasemble the bezel remove the markers and make a professional work in a lathe with appropriate sand papers with different sizes of grit.
Besides your mark is just in the zone with brushed and polished finish. This is another complication.
Since it is a professional Diver's watch, leave it like that. Divers have a lot of marks on their watches.... LOL...
Sorry
