Need help on getting pam rep

This is my first time posting on the forum, hope I wouldn't offend anyone in what I've said here.

I'm honestly impressed by DSN pams but as I emailed him, he offered me two different kinds of movements (sorry I'm still new to such things in the rep world) swiss or asian 6497 movement. In your opinion, which one would you go for? What's the difference between a swiss and a asian 6497 movement? I'm really interested in getting a DSN pam but I really hope if anyone could help me on this matter.

Go with the Asian. They are pretty reliable and it will save you money to put towards mods or your next purchase.

I wasn't aware the Swiss movement looked much different to the Asian if its the 6497. I maybe wrong though.

SWISS but get a proper swiss movement not those DSN or Cartel swiss ones. Get one from ofrei or cousinsuk

Actually, the A6497 is more visually accurate than the "Swiss" movements.

I'd go with the A6497. Save some money and the 2 that I've had are pretty darn accurate too.

Then how about it's durability, I've hear from some that it lasts just months.

Don't worry too much, the Asian from DSN is fine ... it will last.

Asia ones are workhorses and if they do eventually break up you can just buy a brand new one as it will be cheaper than having the old one fixed. On the other hand, if you buy a proper swiss (ofrei or cousinsuk) it should last you for a fair amount of time

Yeah, the A6497s have the correct Incabloc anti-shock mechanism and the flared spokes on the balance wheel. The Swiss 6497s usually have the Novodiac anti-shock and they all have straight spokes on the balance wheel.
