You know I've changed straps hundreds of times. I often think I do it more professionally than watchsmiths. At least I care more about my watch than they do. However, I have had times when I just couldn't do it. I worked for hours one time. I finally gave-up and had my watch guy to do it. It took him 5 minutes and cost me a mere $5. I felt foolish. If all fails, have a real pro to do it. :)

Most DSN cases are not made to take bracelets due to the positioning of the lug holes. Not sure if bending the metal tabs will help.

Here's a comparison between lug holes of my DSN 005 and a generic 111H:

Notice that the lug holes for the DSN is closer to the case and a little higher from the lug ends. I noticed this when I couldn't fit a generic rep bracelet I got from a different dealer. The holes simply don't line up. The lug-to-case gap is simply too short to fit the bracelet.

Also, if you compare the positioning of the lug holes on your DSN 111H to the one advertised as "The Ultimate 111H with metal braclet" on DSN section here: http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=27851
You might find the position of lug holes different. Definitely different for my 005

I bought the DSN ultimate 2 weeks ago. He sent a leather strap on the watch and I had to change, The metal band does line up but you do have to adjust the tabs slightly. It does take a little work and seams like there is a misalignment but it will work.
