Need help from watch smiths or movt. savvy members!

Hello all, today has been horrendous. I got in an argument with my now ex-girlfriend, and long story short, she emptied out my watch box from my balcony onto the pavement. The only survivors out of the 10 is a cheap beater on my wrist, and my laureus ingy.
When I opened up the iwc, two things fell out. The rotor and this small gear that I can't seem to place where it came from. I took a couple of pics of it front and back. The movement is an Asian 2824. If anybody has any insight on what the name of this part is called, or where it goes, I would mos def appreciate it.

I think it's the gear that sits in the underside of the rotor.

Looks like the date quick set gear that usually resides under the leg of the keyless works bridge/cover.

the photos are not the best so were all struggling here, what is the orange gizmo you've used for size relation?, and can we have a clearer picture as at the moment to me it's just not clear enough.

Thanks for your help guys! @SSTEEL, you got it man! I took it to a watchsmith that is rep friendly and he reattached it for free
@ado213, the orange thing in the pics is the Tapatalk symbol. For future references though, it's clickable, and you can zoom to get a closer look
