Need advice please PAM438

Hi Guys,

so I've decided to buy a PAM 438.

Any advice on which model?

Go for the V6 seagull version. That's the best one available.

Unless you're like me and prefer a 7750.

As above, go for the v6f. Seagull and 7750 are aesthetically the same, seagull movement is cheaper and on the other hand 7750 is easier to fix if it breaks.

I would buy KW-V6Fac with Seagull, but A7750 lover will be also happy with A7750 version

Aside from the (minor) price difference is the Seagull movement in any way better than the 7750?

Are the watches all similar in terms of aesthetics?

Some prefer the Seagull in terms of placement of the balance wheel (still not 100% accurate but much closer than the A7750 based version) and cheaper cost while some prefer the A7750 because of the ease of repair (if) it breaks. Aesthetic wise, there is no difference in the other components like the mid case and the bracelet.

Better placement of balance wheel och slightly lower price and free asso made me choose the V6F. It still works.

If I remember correctly there were also something in favour of the V6F (its in ALEs guide) with the added outer ridges on the rotor. Perhaps ZF got them as well. Check the guide.

Both 7750 and seagull are noisy, but abit of drop of oil on the rotor will reduce the noise

A drop of Moebius D5 oil will solve your problem.

Thanks for your replies, I did the oiling thing but no luck. Still loud.
I went through a lot of threads last night and it seems that the Seagull is a LOT noisier than the A7750' aarghh!
