I am looking to purchase a rep of the PAM111 since it is one of my favorite Paneria, and will be my First Rep.

I am currently looking at: PAM111 V3 Noob Factory Pre V Hands on Rep Brown Croco Strap

My questions:
- Is this the best version of the PAM111 rep?
- I have not paid as much attention to the movement since there is no second hand but is the recommended Asian UNITAS-6497-2 a good quality or is something else recommended?

I have read recommendations in the Paneria forum but there is always something new being released and SO many opinions it can be difficult to get a clear picture.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Max you are right, in most of my reading it appears that most PAMs are exceptional Rep quality when compared to the Gen. I am curious about how much the movement matters for a PAM since there is no second hand to follow.
Great advice on the Y-incabloc and that Toro is offering it included. So looking at his site there is a Swiss ETA & Asian 6497, the difference here being Automatic vs Manual?

Just go for the v3 noob with 6497 handwinding movement. Its stunning and you will love it Got mine last month and it's a stunner. yiu can find some pics from my previous posts and hundreds more ;-) You will want to buy an aftermarket strap though.

Kind regards,

both movements offered are manual movements mate. the 111 is a manual watch. just whether you prefer a swiss (arguably more reliable and better quality) versus the standard asian manual movement which is good and reliable too

don't get the swiss one from toro! his swiss one is a 6497-1 (low-beat) instead of a 6497-2 (High beat). I would recommend getting the one with the y-incabloc pre-installed. That's what I ordered:

The A6497 is a very reliable movement! You can't go wrong with it. If you're really worried, you could always get it serviced once you get it. An aftermarket strap is a must! The rep strap that comes with it is really bad.

"Swiss" 6497 of these reps is a big MISTAKE. Be carefull with that

Read PAM GUIDE all is clear there
