Ok guys the whole reason I found this place was to find info on building or buying a 3646 kampfschwimmer. I need a bit of help narrowing down what that means.
Ive been talking to River and heres what Ive got so far:
River 3646 case set
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=106697

But in addition to this added heat blued hands and a tall bezel.
So with that case set, the blued hands, tall bezel and sterile dial, what am I missing for a good Kampfschwimmer replica?

Thanks guys!

Depends on what movement you plan on using. You can go vintage and get plates engraved or do a solid case back and go with an asian 6497. A nice strap will be needed.

Have you checked out homage forum? Lot of guys on there doing the vintage thing over there and a LOT of good guys that are also here.

I'm with COLDI +1 check out Homageforum and you will learn a great deal or go to the vintage section right here on RWI..

The River case is a good start, you can also go with the Silix which is cheaper but needs to be reshaped and is not a 3 piece case. Check your budget, a vintage build can be somewhat inexpensive or pretty expensive, depending on options and how close to gen you want to go. I would definitely consider this, if you want it to be a daily beater, a watch you can rely on to keep good tome and run every day flawlessly, you might want to go with the old reliable 6497 movement those older movements are just too unreliable and in most cases just don't run right.

Good luck....

That's exactly what I planned on. I'm going to be wearing the watch daily except for rare occasions so the 6497 is what will power it. All of my previous seagulls have been great but I figure I'll pick up an ETA from ofrei in case it dies.
Thanks for the recommendations, I'll check out homage forums.
