Navtimer Chrono's Not Working

I purchased a Breitling Navtimer (with 7750 mvmt) from a member here about 6 months ago. The day I received the watch I tested the chrono buttons, but the chronos didn't advance. I PMed the member who said that I should wear the watch for a few hours before trying the chrono buttons. Wore the watch about 8 hours one day and the chrono buttons still did nothing. I've only worn the watch a few times, but plan on selling it soon. I was wondering if I am doing something wrong or if the watch might have been damaged during shipping. Other than the chrono problem it runs like a charm. Thanks!

The other possibility is that it may be a 21J in there and the chronos are non-functioning... Not what you want to hear, I know.

I doubt it is a 21j movement. The member I purchased this watch from is a respected member on this board and the member he purchased it from is as well. Both say the chronos worked before the watch was shopped...so i'm guessing something must have happened during the shipping! Dang USPS  !

do you hear a "pop" or feel a click when you press down on the pusher? That might help us decide if it is a mechanical problem with the button or something further in the movement.

This is the exact watch that I have in my possesion. First buyer purchased it less than a year ago from Andrew.

Only sound I hear when I put my ear up to the crystal is the sound of the button being pushed in. I was trying to troubleshoot the problem now before it goes into the sale/trade section. I've only worn the watch a few times and it's just too big for my skinny wrists. Rather figure out what's going on now rather than having the buyer receive the watch and wonder why the chronos aren't working.

Thanks for all of the replies so far!

welll... I'm gonna go ahead and start watching the "rep sales" area... this is a nice looking watch that appeals pretty strongly to my "I love GMT watches" section of my heart.... When you decide to sell, let me know trojanmike... if my watch budget has recovered from my recent gen moonwatch purchase I'll be interested.

UPDATE:

Took the watch into my watchsmith today and he confirmed what I thought was the problem...that i'm an idiot! I was pushing too softly on the chrono buttons and never pushed them hard enough to hear the click. Top and bottom button work! Thanks again for all your help! Watch is off to the sale section now...gonna miss it :(.
