I'm fairly new with this hobby and am looking at a Navitimer with a Seiko VK movement. Not in any rush to buy but one of the TDs presented a watch with this movement to me. I've read a few disappointing accounts of the 7750 so I started researching. Does anyone have or looked at a navi with the VK movement or have any thoughts? Appreciate any insight.

Thanks all.

If you're referring to the 3 register navitimer, that will use a vk63. And there lies the problem if you're looking for a close looking rep. The ticking running seconds is at 6 instead of 9.
The dial at 3 will be a 24hr hand (not a separate GMT). Whereas on the automatic rep, it works as the gen would.

There is another navitimer rep that uses a 0s10 miyota, which uses the 3,6,9 subdial layout. But that also works different from the gen.

These quartz reps are often 46mm, and feel cheap compared to the high end automatic reps.
Yes some 7750s can be unreliable, but then some aren't.
