Ebay - paid around 70 Euros for it quite a bargain considering the insane retail prices of Breitling straps and buckles

Very nice. This model dosen't seen to have such a sunk in date wheel, like other models that have the date a 4 o'clock position or it's not as noticeable.

Did you change the strap yourself or had someone do it for you?

changed it myself - easiest thing on the planet

that's because it uses the standard 7750 layout - the date at 4 is the 7753 layout and there is one gear over the date - this is why it is sunken

Absolutely gorgeous! :D

It looks 99% right, I bet the AD would have difficulty recognising it as a rep. I've always liked the blue dialled Navis, but never got round to getting a 7750 powered one (my first Navi was a blue dialled Miyota).

It is definately on my list now!!

thanks folks!

I think that dial color is actually slightly off when compared to the genuine - the gen seems to have a more greyish blue and not so much royal blue. The good thing is that it changes with the light hitting it at certain angles so I am sure nobody will realize :D

guys I am considering a navitimer right now and since this doesnt seem to have the sunken datewhell it looks quite good. But I am having trouble seeing the difference between this one and the regular navitimer? I know the current ones are the tri-compax and have the slide-rule off. Is the slide rule still off on this one?

The regular modern Navitimer has the subdial positioned differently - 9,6,3 - which is also the reason why the datewheel is sunken. The layout of the Fighters is the standard 7750 layout 12,9,6 hence no sunken datewheel

The Fighters also comes with a brushed case opposed to polished and has a different caseback. I believe the sliderule on mine is actually ok.

Euro 85 - again eBay :)

I scour Ebay for Breitling straps and clasps and the only gen stuff I ever see runs 400 for a strap and deployant clasp. Who is the seller on these? I'd like to add them to my watch list.

Thanks!
