Hey Forum, I ordered a beautiful classic Navitimer GMT ss black BP 1:1 best edition a7750 model.
It is now 3 months old and I wear it regularly. Now it was laying around for roundabout 3 days and stopped working. So today I took it again and after a while it started running again. Of course the mechanics need to start moving first. But after I set the time correctly it stopped moving again and never did so even I had it with me half a day.

Is there something I missed or I can do? I will also contact intime directly and ask for support.

Happy to hear from you
Cheers!

It is definitely not normal, an ETA 7750 usually has around 40 hours of power reserve, given this is a replication of it I would expect at least 2/3 of the original pr. It would most probably need a service (weak power reserve could caused by several issues like a weak hairspring, dirt or dried oil for example), have you tried winding it manually (40-50 turns of the crown)?

Thanks offpink for your swift reply. I tried to gently move it for 5 minutes and I also tried to hand wind it for around 30 rounds. If I move the crown clockwise its kinda scratchy hard to move. Like metal on metal and also a bit more power to wind. If I move the crown it counterclockwise it is very easy and "clacks" a couple of times for a full wind.

I also had the feeling it might be some dirt in it or dried out of oil - BUT its only 3 months old :-(

The best solution is to find a watchsmith that will work on Reps locally or on RWI to have it serviced. You may not like this answer but that is the reality of buying Reps.

thanks tkingjr, I know that are the downsides and I will try to find someone. Do we have a trusted service list or something here on RWI where I can check for known watchmakers? I'm from Berlin, Germany and assume that I'm not the only one with some problems :p

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee with replicas, you win some and you lose some. To wind the movement you have to turn it clockwise (towards the 12 o'clock). Let me know what the TD says, if the service is too expensive or the movement is toast a good alternative would be buying an ETA7750.
