Anyone know anything about this ETA 2824? I can't seem to find any info anywhere. It was an old movement I had in a box and I decided to resurrect it, hopefully for future use in a rep that I build sometime in the future.

I can say, the motion works on the backside is identical to any 2824-2 that you see today. The keyless works is totally different and the calendar tension spring parts are different. Other than that, seems like any 2824.

The cap jewel in the mainplate needs replaced, I have one on order and will press out the old and in with the new...good chance to get the staking kit and Seitz out!

this is all I could find...

it will be cool to put this in vintage build...maybe a no date sub in my future...

you can run a normal stem if you replace the the winding pinion (part#410) and clutch wheel (part#407) too

Seitz did a wonderful job on the old jewel....waiting on new one to arrive. First one I ordered is wrong size...and follows my usual cadence of spend a dollar to save a nickel.

Decided to put some time in this old movement today. Here are some pics of the mainplate low side in case someone needs to know how the keyless goes together along with the calendar spring mechanism...
