Hey folks!

With great pleasure i just finished successfully my first m2m deal on here with [MENTION=44939]rolopam[/MENTION] and I'm proud to join the Paneristi family after 3 years of collecting Rolex watches.

Nothing special to say about the watch, the PAM models really kick it in terms of quality and genlike feeling / accurancy! I decided ro go with a real classic - the PAM111 M Series.

Here you go with a few impressions of that fabulous timepiece!

And pics don't do it justice at all. To all PAM newbies out there: Don't hesitate to get one - they are great!

What a beauty - I'm addicted.

I already read around a bit about modding PAMs and i have pretty good skills in terms of improving and modding Rolex watches. What would you guys say would improve the watch with easy little steps. I already ordered a new caseback seal, as the stock one was very thin and already broken. I also greased the seals of the crown.

When all gaskets are sealed, the watch should be swimming- (not diving) ready, right?

What else would the more experienced crowd recommend? [emoji4]

Cheers

I know a few folks that have done the same with their Pams (greased caseback O ring, both crown and tube) and headed straight to the pool with no issues. That being said, I always grease my own gaskets but still get the watch tested. I always have a nagging worry about leaks around the crystal. Had an old Noobmariner that liked to leak there until I got it fixed. Now it just sticks in my head. If you can, get a little Loctite thread locker (blue) for the CG screws and strap screws. Mine liked to work themselves out after a couple weeks.

The Loctite definitely is a great tip! Thank you! [emoji4] I still need to find a friendly local watchsmith to do the WP testing. Never needed it before though. 1st simple step and one of the most important rules in rep collecting is GREASE THEM SEALS! [emoji1]

Thanks mate!

Only thing you may want to mod is that CG pin... File it down just a touch so it's flush. Just remember, you can always take more off but can't put it back on! Beauty of a watch though! Congrats

Very versatile watch when straps are frequently changed out. Distressed canvas to dressy gator. My guess is you will have a few more by years end.....

I already have planned a gen rubber strap as i handed the gen today and a uber spectacularly elegant stingray. [emoji4]

Thanks for the CG pin tip guys!

Hard to show but i completed the CG pin lowering. I also completely repolished the case, waterproofed and serviced the movement. I'm a happy camper now! What do you guys think? [emoji4]

Nice work! Beautiful! :)

perhaps a bit offtopic... I've noticed that some PAMs doesnt have the inscription REG. T.M. on the cg (like yours). Is there a simple rule to know what models should/should not have the REG. T.M?

PAM's with the REG. T.M. are usually the ones with the Luminor 1950 case (it has a slightly different shape than the normal Luminors) this one is the normal Luminor (Bettarini case) and does not have the REG. T.M. on the CG. Hope this helps :)

It sure did. Thanks!! :) :)

Imo the 1950 case is far more beautiful. ;)
