My ULTRA Franken UPO

So here I am with this project

the UPO from Marvellous Rep (BTW : Thanks to you for the great service)

The gen dial

The gen crown and tube

The gen HE valve

The gen Hands

The gen Bezel and gen Saphir (in the box)

The gen cristal gaskett

The ETA gen DateWheel (see the difference)

Total 890 Euros for all parts including watch and all shipping fees from suppliers

Everything is gonna be send to a Modder and I hope to received my franken in approx less than 1 month...
I'll send pictures as soon as it is back ...

Fake parts are allways on the left, gen parts allways on the right.

The Datewheel with hugh different

Dial by day - many differents

Daillume - many differents

Hourhand - pretty good made from the fakefactory

Minutehand - pretty good made from the fakefactory

Valve - fake is only pressed in, gen is screwed

Tube - fake is only pressed in, gen is screwed

Bezel - pretty colsed to gen but the high, the teeth and the pearl are different

Gasket - I must make it thinner

Crystal - the gen is 0,5mm thicker

That's make a lot of differences....

Great read, and thanks for sharing the pics and information. The great thing is that projects like this can be done a little at a time- keeping an eye out for the right parts, then put them all together. The key is to have it done by someone who can make the fine adjustments that might be needed to ensure a proper assembly.

Absolutely beautiful. So I take it, the latest PO rep takes gen bezel just like the 4th gen one, correct? Or is this a 4th gen?

It is the latest UPO 45 mm ... Yes it does take the full gen bezel BUT it does need some extra job and some modification and specific adjustment. Here is the comment of Uwe who did the modif :

"The bezel is a little problem. It is 2mm of from the rehaut but I have fixed it.

The only problem where I am thinking about is the ring under the bezel. It makes the clicks and block the bezel to the direction against clockwise direction.

Normally it sits 3mm deeper...but I am thinking about the problem and keep you informed."

Thanks Guys ... it is great and yes dial and hands glows like a christmas tree in a forest

@countit no it is the UPO Swiss ETA certify 203 is price in Euros (1 € = 1.37 $)

And I have another one @ Uwe for my brother : but it is going to be "a lighter franken" : just dial + hands + crown and tube (his UPO does have already a double AR and a "decent" aftermarket insert on the bezel) So as soon as I have the 2nd one I'll post pictures of both ....
