This is my late 80's 79280...w/an ETA Valjoux, gen dial, crown, Cartel case, crystal, Ofrei cyclops, rep close to correct 93150, jmb caseback...(Notice that both watches have a 400 mph tachy but should have a 500 mph tachy. Believe me, I tried 2 years to find a 500 mph tacky bezel....either 79280 OR 79260 to no avail. Even bought the WSO one but it is was for a Monte Carlo case (still have this bezel so PM me if someone needs one).

Enjoy

Nice work and well done txrob779. I believed there was Tudor chronotime rep case from Vietnam before in Montecarlo 7750. But most of gen parts to completed are very difficult to find. You are my inspiration! CHEERS!!!

Here is my Gen 79260P Tudor "Tiger" Chronotime with sapphire crystal but I like Big block 79160 much more, looks more strong and bold.

Big Blocks are just about unfrankenable IMO. I love the 60 with the Bakelite bezel. I looked for one to no avail.

My friend jmb and I believe the Big Block (hence the name) was basically a Sea Dweller case tapped for pushers with a thinner case back to house the Valjoux. Where the 79260/80's are a Daytona thin case with a deep case back. I don't have anything to substantiate that, but it seems plausible. Trying to remember what year the dials switched from Oysterdate to Prince Date. I believe the Tigers were 1997.

*In 1997 Rolex signed a contract with the famous golf player Tiger Woods to advertise the Rolex Tudor Prince Chronograph. The first Rolex Tudor Chronograph Tiger Woods model came out with a variety of colored displays.

Prolly WSO or Ofrei/Jules Borel. Hell, I dunno I never really looked.
Try searching eBay with a couple of different key words and see what that drums up.

Good luck to you :bless:
