I posted this on another forum; but I will also put it here.
My new watch actually arrived a couple of weeks ago. But, because I had chosen to have it sent to my office, and I was traveling I wasn’t able to pick it up until today.
I had been informed that I had several boxes waiting for me on my return. Some were work related; one was good (compared to what is available to me in this town) coffee, and one was what I was excited to see.
The box was much bigger than I expected as it contained not only the expected content; but, a double display box, wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a plastic tub with paper holding it firm. The plastic tub was, again, wrapped in bubble wrap then placed in the shipping package. It should come as no surprise that the watch came intact.
The watch, a Squale 1515, looked great and got immediate positive comments from my wife. I will point out that she, like myself, never really formed a fondness for the oversized watches and is even displeased with the size of the sub-Homage that I sometimes wear.

Due to access problems I point at the pictures provided by one of the vendors (not the one I made my purchase from). I chose the black face and bezel. The only lume appears to be on the triangle of the bezel and on the hands. The watch is quite shiny.
The automatic movement seems to work well; however, I have not used any calibration software to check it and have not even opened it yet. The date set easily and crisply.
The band is branded with, what appears to be, a stamped “squaley†fish on the inside of the clasp. The brand on the strap is not visible while wearing the watch. That being said, it is a rubber band and feels “stretchy.†It will probably be replaced soon; however, at 18mm it is not a common size. There is nothing wrong with the band, I just don’t like the look or feel. As I told my wife about the band, “it looks fine for a sport watch; but, it looks too young for me.â€
The bezel is thick and the serrations are easy to grasp. As such, it is easy to turn while strong resistance makes it not likely to be bumped out of its setting. One oddity is that the bezel extends beyond the case on the non-crown side.
The watch is surprisingly thick when compared to its width. It has a heavy, solid, feel and appears well made. I got the watch from Alan at Watch Bitz. He was great to deal with and very patient with my shipping issues. The total price, including shipping, was about 330USD.
Sorry about the lack of original pictures. I am having trouble posting to any free photo hosting sites that can be viewed outside of P.R. China.
