My small Panerai collection

First day of 2017 and it's cold and raining...It is supposed to be our Summer holidays!

What better to do than take some photos.

My small collection contains a Gen 380, fully modded Marlin 127 on gen Cashmere strap and a new maker Ceramic 441.

There is a thread here about would you buy gen or rep.... If I had the money it would be Gen everytime. The attention to detail, high quality componets and craftmanship is second to none and worth the extra. Well, to me anyway.
Saying that though.... I would buy another modded Marlin Pam in a heartbeat. Joe's work is amazing. My 127 has a power reserve of over 55 hours and keeps perfect time.

The 441 is a really great watch, sure it has a few issues(24 hour GMT not 12 as per Gen). But hey, new clone movement and genuine Ceramic case for just over $300. Dam good buying.

I have to break the bad news but you're wrong on more than one front. First, the maker is VSF, not SF. Second, the free SLC does not come from the factory but is a promotional item from some dealers (actually I've seen this only offered by the twins). And lastly, the sub isn't the one that's being offered (this one is gray with a different stand compared to the black one on the stand with the SLC "Maiale" text).

The Sub is from a kitset which I made and painted. Will try and hunt down the Kit makers name. Came with a lot of historic information.

Just clarifying before members start ordering PAM441s from the wrong factory (SF did make a PAM441 in Sept. 2014) from any dealer (the dealers who are offering this are not TDs here by the way) and expecting to get the same submarine display (which I suspect is from somewhere else). Then we'd see all sorts of complaints on the board of how the TDs scammed them because they were given an old PAM441 with the old movement and how they were cheated out of the free submarine display and then how the free submarine looked nothing like the one in the OP's photo.

Thanks for the clarification. It looked much nicer than the free one (although for something free, you can't complain).

Nice, but makes you wonder whether the other TDs will send the free submarine without putting it on their site. For example, Puretime and Torobravo do not make mention of it although the price is exactly the same as on chazingtime.

Ok I checked this with my TD and he told me the free sub was just for limited time and stock to introducing the new maker.

It's subjective. I've tried to diversify but I keep on collecting Panerai. Some prefer to do differently and collect some of everything. To each their own.
