Hello all, let me preface this review by saying that this is my personal experience and I will try to be as detailed and unbiased as possible. This way potential buyers can make an informed decision on whether to use this TD.

I purchased the V7F IWC Mark XX from Hont. Comms was typical - 24 hour replies. Not a drama for me though as I didn't need to be 'babied' during the buying process. I knew what I wanted and just wanted the best price on it whilst buying from a TD. The watch arrived around 10 days after payment confirmation to the UK. I thought the whole process was pretty efficient. Very happy with the buying and delivery process.

Upon inspection of the watch it seemed perfect, however as soon as I took off one of the stickers on the strap, the little pin that goes into the holes on the strap just fell off. I immediately showed a picture of this to Hont and he then said that this was not possible and I broke it myself. This left a very bad taste in my mouth. The strap is not expensive and I'm happy to replace it myself. However to have my integrity questioned and essentially be called a liar, I was quite displeased. Hont then tells me to send the watch back, then I will receive a full refund. Well to me that doesn't make sense when the watch is fine, just the strap is faulty. He then offers me 20$. I told him to keep his money as I'm really not interested in dealing with him anymore.

Like I said I'm more than happy to replace the strap by myself I just wanted to tell others about my experience with Hont. If your watch arrives perfectly then happy days, if there is any fault with your watch then you will be called a liar and receive little in the way of remuneration. I don't expect him to have Amazon's refund policy, however I do expect him to understand that sometimes errors can occur in shipping and he should improve in way of after sales service.

This is actually incorrect, you told me to go to a watch smith to find out how much it costs to repair. Which I did. I did not ask you for 85$ I merely told you that that was the quote. The strap is inexpensive and I have already sought out a replacement. However you instantly said that I must have broken it and then told me to send the watch back to you for a refund. No thanks, I'll keep the watch and inform this community the risks of dealing with you.

He also still seems to think I am just trying to take money from him, despite me saying that I am no longer interested in his money but rather just telling about my experience. If I was really after some kind of refund would I really refuse any money from him?

Sorry to hear this didn’t go as a planned. Things can always break and it sucks if it happens right away.

Seeing this is a counterfeit business I would have tried to solve this myself. Just buy a new buckle on Etsy or any other platform. Best to close this and move on, gl

Agreed, as I have said I have already sought a replacement and it really isn’t too much of an issue. Nonetheless I thought I’d detail my experience as it was less than ideal.

There must have been a defect in the metal. I've never had a buckle clasp break like that. It is unfortunate that he couldn't just send a replacement buckle.

It’s alright. I understand he’s very busy and frankly I would have just appreciated if he told me that it’s not worth his time to replace the strap when you can purchase a replacement for pretty cheap. It was just the whole accusatory stance that he instantly took which just left a very bad taste in my mouth.
