hello guys

I have never liked the vintage before. but I fell in love with the submariner 1680 red! it's really great, I took a jkf, and I tried to work for the first time a vintage! I did a bit of research, in the end I built a vintage for me!

I wanted to share this project with you, what do you think?

Nice work.
If I may ... you could reshape the crownguards (inner side) a little IMHO.
But perhaps it's the crown that is too thick so you'll when the Athaya is on.

Probably not true to what a gen example would be.. but who doesnt like some juicy lume

Beautiful. But imho-vintage is VINTAGE. You might want to consider aging dial/bezel/case to reflect the era. I really love vintage watches and part of it is the beautiful patina they aquire with time. Be warned....it seems really hard to artificially age a watch and have such aging look authentic from what I have gathered, I would like to try but am very intimidated by it...the other hand Johnny your skills are such I would bet you were up to it!

Very nice. Try shaving a bit of the inside of the CG.

Try redrilling the tube to a higher level like gen, then buy a 2824-2 and swap over the 2846's balance, pallet fork, and escape wheel to the 2824-2 and make it lowbeat

Then you will have a 1680 with the correct crown/stem/tube height like gen and it will be fool-proof

The crown still looks "low" on the case.
Did you change tube + crown or only the crown ?
