My research on Omega De-Ville Prestige Co-Axial Chronometer 39,5mm

Hello guys,


I am writing to you today about this Omega model: De Ville Prestige Co-Axial Chronometer (White Dial)

I think I have read all the threads for the rep of this watch and would like to centralize the information, it could be interesting for those who like this model and even more for myself with your participation.

I know this is not a very popular model on the forum, but I still find it a very nice looking dress watch.

From what I've found, there are 3 good reps of this model:

KZF (2 versions):

I have been able to try this watch on several occasions at an AD and, based on my research and comparisons to the gen, here is what I think:


MKS :

Pros: The date font is correct, The font « OMEGA DE VILLE » seems to be correct, The engraving is correct, the crown is correct, Hands are correct, Overall look seems nice and similar to gen.

Cons: The strap seams are black on the inside and not beige, the case is slightly raised up compared to gen.


KZF :

Pros: Date font is correct, Strap and stitching are correct, Engraving is correct, Hands are correct, Overall look seems nice and similar to gen, Newer than MKS.

Cons: The crown is too domed, The font « OMEGA DE VILLE » is thicker than the original.


Regarding the difference between MIYOTA 9015 and Asian 2892, I prefer not to comment since I never had the movements in my hands. From what I've read MIYOTA can be a bit noisy but more robust. To be confirmed…


I plan to order one of these rep after CNY Holidays, before that I will continue my research to make up my mind and I also await your feedback to help me making my choice!

I will do a full review of my futur order and will tell you how I felt about the watch when it will be in my hands.


So, which rep among these 3 would you guys choose?

Personally I would simply get the MKS (as it’s a well established maker) and nothing about it looks offensive to my eyes.

I would not bother comparing it to gen. what’s the point. No one else knows the difference.

Yes, I also think the MKS version looks very well done, and I have read very good feedback for those who have purchased it.

The only thing that bothered me was the look of the leather straps compared to KZF. But anyway I understood that we have to change the leather straps in any case because the quality/durability was generally not there.
