They don't. Base movements with Davidsen hands aren't recessed. That is why I asked him about belt and suspenders ... A long canon on a Base movement is frankly, overkill.

Don't jump to conclusions. Eta Swiss is fine for BASE dials with normal sized canon parts. None of the Davidsen watches have a recess, it is not specific to the movt being CN or CH.
