My Pelagos crystal is always dirty

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have cleaned it over and over with soap and water and windex and it is always smudged.

I don't have this problem with any other watches.

Anyone have any thoughts?

You know, I had the same question. Im thinking of trying to put just a dab of wax on mine, like car wax and see if it helps. I did it on a couple that had the plastic crystal, seems to look good.

Are you sure it's dirty outside? Maybe it's from the inside

I can confirm that the Pelagos crystal seems to be a dirt magnet
I personally just give a good lick and rub it on my t-shirt, works all the time :)

What's the deal? Is there a way to keep it from looking like hell all the time?

Although I don't have a Pelagos, I use an eyeglass cleaner that claims to prevent fogging, and it seems to help.

My ZF is fine and is not a dirt magnet. I hope I'm wrong but could it be an issue with the AR coating? I have an Omega PO that had patchy AR making it look smudged all the time. If so there will be lots of info on the forum about what to do. Personally I just lived with until grew tired of the watch and it has stayed that way in my watch box ever since

So I cleaned the inside of the crystal with winded and it's much better. I guess the smudges on the outside were more obvious due to the greasy inner surface.

It's still a magnet for dirt, but it is much better.
