You need a controlled light source and a tight aperture for the depth of field...

It is an impressive number of Panerais though. Oh, for anyone that's not Tanfoglio, obviously.

Definately a fully paid up member of PAMaholics anonymous - I am not alone then

A good example of "its not just about the watches" - the straps are important too - PAV, Mario Paci and Strapmasters clearly visible

I agree, the strap makes the watch IMHO. I just wish I had the wherewithall to be able to make my own straps like you do.

Any bad photo of a PANERAI is better by default than a shee-shee art photo of some crap POS that's lit well. Nothing wrong with a good photo, but don't downplay this Panerai collection!
Yes, but by asking, his pics will get better, if he's interested, and imagine how much better amazing pics of Panerai are!

...and I take your point about this being a watch forum, but it's a visible one, and the amount of photography questions I get asked shows that there is an awful lot of interest in watch photography.

It's the content that counts! This isn't a photo forum, it's a replica watch forum, Panerai interest by default. You appologies are rejected, let's just revel in the watches you displaying, good god this is a stunning collection!

If you can show a watch without a reflection of a big fat naked guy in the crystal or case, I am happy. (Not that I am implying you are: big, fat, or your nakedness, it's a concept :) in fact, I'd kinda like to see a naked lady photographer reflected in crystal, so maybe I am limiting myself here ... bring on the reflections, in context! )

I did notice the gas passer in the crystal on that one. Oddly enough, I preferred to focus on the camera.
