Hi friends, wanted to share with you my old school Pam 005, this is my first Panerai and actually deciding if I can get used to wear a 44 in my almost 7" wrist. Bought it here: https://www.rwg.bz/board/index.php?/topic/167934-3-old-school-pams-005-360-390/
Seller (a gentleman) claims that is either a noob or H, maybe some of our experienced friends in the Pam section will know the maker. Doesn't look like a shitter to me, but you never know.

As with all my replicas, I always send them to their usual maintenance. Luckily here isn't that expensive, so it's always a must to do when I receive one, specially if it's used.

Case back was retreated in the lathe, as apparently it wasn't threading properly.

As you may have noticed, the crown lever was a little protrude from the CG, at first I thought it could be fixed in the maintenance, but my watchsmith said that it was fixed and can't leave it flushed with the CG.

Anyways, I started using as is, but the OCD was ticking so I took it back and asked him to fix it, and to the milling machine she went. Mod went better than expected, maybe not perfect but significantly finer.

Sorry for the long post.
PR is strong 38+ hours, waterproof test passed, maybe some polish to the case back is needed, but any comment is welcome, good or bad. I think if I decide to keep it I would like to change the crystal which in some angle has distortion (actually don't know if the Gen is the same or a flaw). And of course buy a rubber band, as well as a better leather strap.
Thanks for all your inputs.

shoutout to @r0b9502 who helped me to upload the photos with his August post.

Looks very nice Sir, congratulations.

I for one love the detail, as it shows that alot of time and effort has gone into it already, so all that's left is to rock it on your wrist 'like a boss'

Well wear & enjoy 🙏

CG pin and lever significantly improved but your watchmaker made an error with the brushed finish. Brushing must go in a straight vertical line while yours goes in many directions. Besides the CG pin must be polished instead of brushed.

It I can make a suggestion for a further mod I would plan with next service removal of current H2 cannon pin and hour wheel set with a taller H3 set The top of the cannon pin must be flattened and polished before installing it in the movement. This small detail makes tremendous upgrade to the watch face imho.

I agree with @kilowattore 's comments. It's difficult to tell from the pictures but it appears that the 'Officine Panerai' script on the movement bridge is printed rather than engraved, which would point towards it being H factory.

Thank you @P..DR..D definitely ill give it a try.
I appreciate your suggestions @kilowattore, and I will consider the mod in following service, if I keep it. I do think the CG was replaced at some point, but I believe the brush finish is an easy fix. Thanks!
Well @Woundup actually the seller leaned more towards H than Noob, so maybe that is what it is. Thank you.

Just looked again and it appears that the point of the swan neck is underneath the dagger?? Also the incabloc looks to be in the wrong position.

I hate to point out flaws, though these are concerning if you paid for work expecting the provider to have Panerai knowledge...

Thank you for pointing this out, I see what you mean about the incabloc position. The swan neck placements, don’t seems to be different from pictures I’m seeing.
