One ;)

So here is the break down -

I have a Pam 111H.

Parts I need to get

1. Caseback with OP6518 engraving
2. Polished CG
3. Sausage 111 dial
4. Relume + Cannon Pin Fix

I asked a few dealers for the parts, and the best price I got so far is $90 shipped for the #1 thru #3 above.
(Please let me know if any of you can help me out for a bit cheaper ;)) #4 will be performed by Vaccum.

This project will result in damn-near-perfect Pam 001B.

Let me know what y'all think ^^

061D - From Joshua, Crown mod to DSN or Palp, and Relume & Cannon Pin fix from Vaccum

Yes, a damn-near-perfect project, congrats!

Did you take in consideration whether the 001B has "L SWISS L" or "T SWISS T"?

Transitional B series could have either, I believe, surfer. Good question though, as I may be wrong on that.

Joe, I'm sure you've investigated it, what's the story? Are "L", "T", or both accurate?

Both accurate, L dial and T dial have existed in 001B, although T dial would be more scare in the B series. A series would be all T dial.

I was lucky to grab a PAM1B (surprisingly no recessed pin problem and correct serial and "B" production number ) during a trip to SZ in China.

A member commented that the lever pin is off as it is not flushed

So... After searching for a few weeks...

Here it is... a good CG with the flushed lever pin (at least it is not popping out like the previous CG). Can't wait to put on the new CG.

In my opinion, PAM1B is the best Panerai rep. Solid case back and simple sausage dial makes it difficult to determine its authenticity.

Good luck to you. You are on your way to a really damn-near-perfect PAM1B

B could be both L & T, just like other B series Pams ;)

Mine will be L dial ^^ Bad news though... there will be a few month delay.

For now, it's just 009BL and 061D.

Wow joe I am looking to do the same thing. Build that perfect PAM.

Where is it possible to get a correct Sausage Dial with the thick font like the gen below?

The one that Andrew/Josh have are thin and too large and look much less accurate than the 111H dial right now.

These are pics of the gen:

I checked Josh's site just now, it's kinda hard to tell from his pics. I believe it's accurate thickness - someone who owns it can help out perhaps, but I am quite positive on this from looking at several sausage 111 dial from old posts.

I have a sausage base dial as you have seen in my other post (176G) and it's got dead-on font.

I think there is only one standard rep dial made for this model, so all should be the same. DSN offers similar dial, but his fonts are even thinner and wider judging from his pics - but it comes with "T-" dial 8) for pre-A and A series 001.

I missed one detail though - the surface between the lug holes... 001 comes with FLAT surface, while current 111 cases come dipped in a little. So... this is one major flaw... (to me anyway ^^)
