My new U-Boat Thousands of Feet AS!! Love it!!

Ever since I started this hobby, the design of U-Boat watches have attracted me. I did not buy them because of the size (50mm). Recently a 43mm version was launched and when the rep version came out, I couldn't hesitate anymore.

The watch is not accurate to the gen thou, the word "thousands of feet" is missing on the dial and red model which I bought should have tinted red crystal. Still, I like the design very much and hardly anyone knows about U-Boat.

The rep strap was very stiff and uncomfortable, hence I changed it to a CF Style strap immediately. Also, wearing the watch on the left wrist, the crown does jab a little. BUT I still love the watch!!! This is the last of 3 watches I bought myself for Christmas

Its a nice rep, that. I'm with you for the same reasons. 50mm is too beaucoup.
43mm is much more useable in the real world and as you say, no one else has a clue about U-Boat or if they do, what size it is!

I also fell in love with this watch, ordered it from Silix (Great bloke to deal with ) but it turned up with a cracked Crystal and the hands did,nt line up Ie at any hour on the hour the hour hand fell between the marks. Having only had it for 1 day it had to be sent back for replacement Now having read your post, Im pineing for it)

Mine was the green dial which is slightly more authentic as the genuine doesnt have thousands of feet printed next to the date window.

Interestingly the lum is fantastic including the 'U-Boat' print is also lumed but interestingly not the hands!!! so you cannot read the time at night, cant quite figure that one out.

If anyone reads this that has a genuine please advise on whats lumed and what isnt.

Anyway, enjoy your watch its a beaut. I trawled all over the 3 forums looking for posts on this watch. This watch deserves much more credit than the monster 50mm
