I don't treat my titanium watches any different from my stainless steel ones. So far nothing in the way of scratches (knock on wood).
Aside from destructive methods there isn't any way to determine the grade of titanium used in our reps. Maybe if the factory provides a sample to
@ALE7575 like what he did for the bronzo.
I think we can assume that since more than 50% of the worldwide usage, covered by Ti 6Al-4V, or "Grade 5" titanium, while
it's named "workhorse" and been logical priced, it will probably used by watch factories.
I don't think that makes any difference in our life cycle. :E
I think that everyone should know the number of polish brush that likes - need. There aren't much, 3-4 numbers from 400 to 1000
for surfacing and higher for mirror polish.
It is a quick and pleasant procedure with small risk of damage. Check youtube for titanium or ss polishing.
I used to skin my titanium muffler every month for cleaning purposes with any kind of brush or sand paper had close.
Never fail, never spotted etc. Was named with 0.8mm thickness and measured slightly less 0.75-0.78mm when i rebuild it.
