Yeah, it is nice. Don't you love the CNC dial? I like how its not sandwich nor sausage dial. Enjoy!

If this dsn comes with a good pre-v CG, then why do so many people replace them with V and LH's cgs?

Good looking for an "out of the box" CG.

They don't have the correct curved top, but they are thicker than normal CGs. A V CG would have the correct curved top, but would be oversized like the real Pre-V CGs were.

No, Tourby didn't sell V CGs, AFAIK.

V is a member at RWGjr and here who had a run or two of CGs made that were very, VERY close to the current brushd, curved-top "Historic" CGs.
