I had to take the plunge and get myself a PAM Sub. All greased up and ready for the pool

Unless it's a trick of the photos, the date font is far too thin to be a gen.

Good looking watch, though! I had one for a time, but didn't like the top-heavy feel it had with the THICK bezel combined with the 1950 style case. Each to his own, though.

The strap looks excellent.
I have not found a correct rep rubber strap for Panerai yet.

nice looking watch, how is the bezel? I had 3 PAM's with a bezel and all of them were loose:angry:

Wake up!! Hell Man I've been up since 5 AM sweatin in the garage putting a new water pump in the vette. Just finished scrubbing the grease out from under my nails.

Thanks all for the nice posts. This is a Trevor rep 243. Nice cyclops and polished bezel edge. I siliconed the seals, polished the hour markets and flattened and polished the CD pin a little. Still not happy with that. Yes it has a loosy goosy bezel, not sure how to fix that but it lines up well and stays in place. The box is an old style rep PAM pear wood box with the correct color hardware. Got it a while back from a Geek member.

I bought a PAM 243 from Robert at T4D and am very happy with it.

What did you use to polish the hour makers and make them shiny??

I do have some Cape Cod...will that work you think?

:)

I use a piece of masking tape. I have a leather hole punch like the one below to make a nice round hole in the masking tape. The tape covers the bezel but the hole lets the marker poke out. Then I used a little dab of simichrome polish. A cape cod cloth will work but it takes longer. I just did each marker one at a time. I skiped the pearl marker. It was nice enough.

Thanks, I tried Cape Cod last night and it didn't work at all.

I have a similar metal polish I had used on car exhaust tips....might give that a go!

Thanks

That's one fine watch, collector, great photography too! I'd probably get one for Christmas. ;)
