Here it is.... My new Frankenpam! This was my first effort at modding and it sure made me far more respectful of those of you who do this all the time. Wow! I removed the brown dial and hands from my DSN 056 Titanium Destro and replaced it with an 024 dial and hands DSN sent me. I also did a fair amount of work to the CG to make it lie flat on the case. The crown is too high, but that is beyond me. The operation went well as a result of the help I received from you all. I particularly want to thank 'phicks' fro PMing me when I panicked. Sorry about the lousy photos. Despite there being AR coating on the crystal, I'm damned if I can figure out how to photograph the watch without reflections. Hopefully you get the idea..... I'm really happy with the results! The strap is the Savage I had from before--and which just gets more and more beautiful as I wear it. I'l be putting the original 056 dial and hands up for sale in the 'parts for sale' section.
Now I want a see-through caseback. Is there such thing for a Titanium PAM?

Thanks for that, Fakey! Coming from you I take that as a great compliment.

Well I am bt far not a Pam expert. But I have learned that even a close one is more than safe to wear. I gave a 111 to someone a while back which I talked about here.

it was full of flaws but he wears it everyday around a lot of high profiles and has never been called out.

It all boils down to how one carries him/herself. I wear my reps amongst high profiles all the time and never had any issues. It also helps to have wads of money.

Gotta say you did a great job and yes, the Pam 036 has exhibition back. Also the 176
has it as well. Looks good to me Neilsen. :D

Thanks for the info, Dogma. Anyone know roughly what DSN charges for a clear caseback (then there's the fee for the Moneygram, postage, etc. etc.)?

$20 as I recall. Just be careful about the thread size; reps don't always match.

Thanks for the positive feedback. There are lots of members here that enjoy giving help to those that want to experiment and learn. We all get a kick out of it when someone succeeds.

I just sent a moneygram to Gunny yesterday and it was only $9.50 from Walmart.
So, it may be that cheap. Not over $20 though.
I know DSN charges $40 bucks for just a CG.
