H fac breitling SA with gen dail movement and hands! will a gen breitling steel bracelet fit? its on rubber for now but im looking to franken it even further any tips? will gen brezel fit? pushers and crown? what are my options? thx for any advice you have for a newbie franken owner

The gen bracelet will fit (here are some photos of my H Fac SA with gen bracelet to show fitment against the case; I sold it, but wish I still had it now). As far as I remember, the gen bezel is problematic for fitment and requires quite a bit of modding to make it work, hence it may not be worth it. However, if anyone has done that mod, hopefully they will chime in here. I think pushers and crown fit with minimal modding, but I did not try those.

These days you're better off just buying a Gen. Building a Franken will cost you almost as much as what these trade for on the gray market.

You must be looking in the wrong places because I've seen a few mint ones sell recently for $2200- $2500 on a bracelet. That's why I sold mine last year. It's time has passed and values were in the toilet.

Same for me with my Superocean Heritage & Chrono builds, I would recommend Uhren Kolbel / LuxusFreund24 on eBay.

I got my gen mid case for both watches from him and he was pretty flexible and fair with pricing. However, you might encounter the problem of the rep crown not fitting in the gen mid case (it wasn't an issue for me since I had already ordered the genuine crown) or even the pushers. A brand new pusher from Breitling is around 75€ and the crown is around 90€ so you'll have to consider if the extra 240€ on top of the gen mid case price (which is 400€ from Breitling hence why I recommend getting a used one) is worth it for your build.

offpink i will check it out, but am i right about the brezel being constructed a bit diffrently so that i would have to pay $300+ for that also? pushers are on my list and i heard that i have to mod the crown tube to make the gen crown fit the rep case if i choose to keep it? might sound wierd but i would preffer to keep atleast some of the build rep

@Kimmeren123 For the bezel I'm not too sure for the model, on the V2 however the bezel was almost impossible to get off from the rep case but it did fit almost perfectly on the genuine case without modification needed (of course I had to get the genuine click spring to get it to spin). Usually, yes the crown tube doesn't fit in the rep case and you'll have to get a modder to install a gen tube for it. In my case, since I had the genuine case and tube it didn't need any modifications.

Rep Dial (if I find a gen in good condition I will get it but brand new from Breitling the dial is 425$ which is too much)

With building costs and movement servicing from Domi, the build is going to cost 1250€ which is about 60% of the cost of a used one in good condition.

i know i will, tried on my friends gen and steel is way more substantial than the rubber, weight is almost dubble and the band is smooth and shiny perfect for the watch, cant wait to get it fitted so that my super franken can be a bit more super.

My experience getting my first franken Breitling was a million times more fun and challenging than when I got my first gen breitling (Colt) back in the day, I feel that this watch is way more unique than a standard breitling cause this one started as a Chinese "clone" then it got a brand new Swiss heart (b13) new dial & hands also B factory (Breitling)
10 bar rated (gen is 30 bar) but I don't swim/shower with my watches anyways, and now it is about to be fitted with a Gen SS Pro 2 bracelet and its ready for summer with that Gen rubber strap. I have a ANF dubble deployment clasp w 2 sets of rep rubber straps that Im eighter going to sell or I will get a Gen rubber that fits it I'm not sure at this point.
