Case looks great, awesome actually. but I don't think someone would ever do that to a genuine panerai watch, so I'd change the dial from Panerai to a hommage dial without the word Panerai.

Very nice!

Hooky: It's just a well worn look mate, a heavily used PVD watch will look like that eventually and some folk do actually use their Pams.

Very interesting idea, one that I like a lot. For my taste, I'd probably go with a worn/distressed look that was a little more realistic. Some people like distressed designer jeans, which this reminds me of (good thing). Me, I prefer to distress my own. :) Nice to have a story behind each imperfection.

....................... just scrolled up to look at it again. It's growing on me!

In person the distressed parts on the case don't look as extreme as the close-up photos I posted, they a touch more subtle. Its all the perspective. hackR used a cope cod cloth treatment and some fine sandpaper to a Getat case to create this look. I think he did a great job.

Just in case anyone is interested, here is the link that chronicles how hackR created this watch and the steps he went through (he ended up swapping out the dial from the one shown in the link):
