So after asking the board about the "best" 111h, the consensus was DSN. I pulled the trigger a while back, and was treated to some fantastic communication and answers to question from Davidsen. After getting the watch, he had sent it with the "thinner" crown, I emailed him about it, and about 10 days letter got the replacement crown.
I had to do some work to get the new crown in, specifically had to shave down the crown tube to get it to fit flush with the case - my first "real" mod, and boy was I nervous going at the crown tube with my file - but it worked, and behold - the DSN 111h
Here it sits, on my granite counter top, waiting for me to wear it, on a BOB strap
With the lovely crown guard open, ready to wind (soooo smooth, a joy to wind everytime)
The movement with dagger regulator - something I was pretty excited about. Been keeping great time
The watch as it came with the old "thin" crown, new crown sitting on the bottom. On a rubber deployant
With the new crown installed - I wish the sandwich effect was a little stronger but its ok
