Well, I had to send the first two back, but third time lucky. My new Deco Bezel Panerai from Davidsen is home, lookin' great, and keepin' great time. I have yet to upload an image in this new format, so I'll try. Meantime, I have a couple of questions for all you Panaristii: 1) the movement (what's it called... Moli... something) says "17 Rubis". Can I assume that should be "rubies"?! 2) when was the genuine item current? Art Deco was really the interwar, but was Panerai around then? 3) I need a good dark chocolate brown strap--one of those ones with the screw-together rivets. Savage doesn't do such, so to whom should I turn?

I do not see a photo. Not that my day has been comprimised. I can see you tried though by way of the little red X in a box, so we all allow you a pass, but ususally any new watch, especially from DSN needs a pic or two. Try again friend and congrats on your new DSN.
CORRECTION.....Now I see it and it is a great looking watch. Congrats!

Weird. I can see the picture on my home computer and my iPod. Not brilliant but definitely there. Anyone else not see anything?

When you find a good source for the strap, let me know please. I have a few vintage watches with the wire lugs that also need this screw together type strap. I just haven't had time to look for them yet.
And beautiful watch, by the way. I love Davidsan's work.

The white logo lettering on the face is a bit fuzzy. I presume there's no way to correct this or does someone know a trick? I'm even considering painting the dial black instead of brown, which would be the time to tackle the lettering--but I don't know of any method that would give crisp lettering. Surely not by hand.
