Hi PAM expert,

This is my first post on PAM..

I am from Malaysia. I just recieved all my collection of PAMs from my local replica seller. Please give me some advice.

1. Luminor Daylight (PAM 196)- only ilumination on the hour hands, second sub dial not functioning, no stop watch function, 3 o'clock subdial is month indicator, 6 o'clock subdial is 24-hour indicator.

2. Marina Militare 8 days (PAM 339) - no ilumination at all, small second subdial, cheap strap. very loud ticking.

3. Luminor flyback 1950 (PAM 212) - very weak ilumination on the hour hands, 3 o'clock subdial is 24 hour indicator, 9 o'clock subdial is the minutes indicator during stop wtch fucntion. No second subdial.

4. Luminor Marina (PAM 111) - only ilumination on hour hands, 9 o'clock subdial is seconds.

Hmmm...so you got yourself a few canal street reps that are neither good nor expensive (I hope). You already know that half of them don't work well and can probably extrapolate that finding to the rest of your batch. So what sort of advise do you seek exactly? I think based on what you got locally vs what can you get from Tds for quite a bit more, the only advice I can give you is ditch your dealer who sold you these clunkers and start buying from TDs here. Saved up and get yourself some proper reps..111, 029, 243 are all great to start with. Enjoy the hobby.

I got my first rep from canal street too, I wanted to try and I thought it is the same watch that our TD have, in the end I found out that it is old version non swiss like what the seller but the price is $25 lower than TD. Lesson learn: next time buy to td, you can benefits of having:
1. to choice(maker, movement)
2. QC
3. Newest version
4. warranty for doa
5. can Ask additional mod
6. and so on....

Those are really not so nice. Well at least now you know you can get much much better ones for an additional amount (but well spent).

Yes...i spent around USD50 for each PAM. Lucky me for not spending too much on my first purchase. Will try to source from trusted distributor from now.

Thanks for your attention on my first post.

For beginning, i didn't spent much on these watches. They are about USD50 or less each. With such chaep prices, i certainly cannot expect much from them.

PAM288 (radiomir chrono) will be my next target. I already aimed puretime as my next dealer. Do you have any comment on this model?
