here are some pictures of my new 063 from davidsen.

even if i´m very happy about my watch i have found some things that i wonder if they are wrong (flaws).

first the lever, i think the lever is to thin and it will not fasten i the lock position like my lever on the "111H" from davidsen. what do you guys think, is it to small?

second the movement, when i shake the whatch it sounds like there are loose screws inside the watch. is that right, what do you say?

you guys who have 063, can you please answer my question. i dont know if i´m going to send the watch back to davidsen and get arefund or keep it!

I'm sorry to hear that. I know it's disapointing to wait eagerly for a new watch, just to find it has issues when you recieve it. On the lever if you really like the watch one of the modders around the forum could probably work it so it's nice and firm. But that would call for putting more money into the watch on top of what you've already paid. As for the movement is is just a noisy roter you hear spinning when you move the watch or does it sound like there is something actually loose banging around inside the case? A major problem with the movement definitely calls for shipping back to Davidsen, either way if you're not totally happy I wouldn't just keep the watch, at the least get Davidsen to send you a replacement. I know I wouldn't be happy settling for a brand new watch that has issues.

If you have a trusted watchsmith, I would turn to him first
and have him take a look at the watch. The tension of
having the watch shipped back and forth is a nerve wrecking
experience. In many instances the problems do not even get
resolved.

If it can be fixed locally have it fixed and try get
compensated, i.e. with some nice straps or a discount
on future purchases.

If not, send the watch back and let DSN reimburse the
payment. That should be an incentive on his side, to
improve quality control.

Just my 2c

It sounds like the issue with the lever not "locking" into place can be fixed, either by sanding/filing a small amount off of the feet of the crownguard, or by adjusting the crown/stem a bit.

Now, about the noisy rotor, do you have other automatic watches? If the watch is running fine, I *seriously* doubt there are any loose bits inside the watch.

At any rate, I'd have a watchsmith inspect the movement before I even entertained sending the watch back to Asia for refund/exchange.

so you guys think i shall keep it?

i opened the case and have a look inside, nothing was loose, nothing. the sound i think i hear is the rotor!

now i only hope that davidsen can send me a new CG with a new, thicker lever pin. i think i can change it myself, or i send it to navig. what do you think?

if i decide that i don´t want to keep the watch and send it back to davidsen. what PAM schould i get instead and from who? give me some sugestions, please!!!

thanx in advance.

Well if you decide not to keep the 063, I would recommend Angus (Puretime) 111E, it is pretty accurate right out of the box, no cannon pin issue, thick crown, great crown guard the only possible mod it would need is having the dial relumed. I have one and it gets plenty of wrist time.

Is this your first automatic watch?

I get the feeling from your post that the noise of the rotor spinning bothers you, or that you think there is something wrong with it because of that noise. Is this correct?

All of my genuine automatic watches have noisy rotors, this is the nature of the beast and not something to cause concern, IMO.

I still don't understand what is wrong with the CG lever. Are you saying that it doesn't "lock" into place when closed?

MK08:
i forgot to mention that i have a "ultimate 111H" from davidsen before i bought the "063", and i´m very happy with that! :p

Hooligan:
about the lever pin and CG is that the lever pin is very thin and on the top it is smaller than my "111H", the top is very sharp, pointed.
it does not lock in to position right, it feels to small.

Ah, I see. Hmmm, I doubt that the CG lever pin is the source of the not locking issues. That problem has more to do with the spacing between the crown and the part of the CG lever that pushes against it. Feel free to ask DSN for another CG, although it may not be any better than the one you have.
