Hi - I wore my Chopard GT XL Milli Miglia to the beach yesterday, and I tried to keep it out of the water. It did get a couple of splashes throughout the day, and some condensation built up inside. Today, the crystal face is all fogged up. Will it clear on its own? Can you recommend anyone in the CONUS to service and waterproof (resist) the watch? If I do, should I relume the dial at the same time (it currently does not glow at all in the dark)?

Thanks!

Contact a modder like Katt and see if he will grease the seals up for you. Beyond that I wouldn't spend money on pressure testing. The Gen lume sucks too, btw. ;)

They suggest putting a iphone or ipod touch ( after a drop in water) in a zip lock back surrounded by uncooked rice. Maybe set this out in the sun?

The rice acts as a desiccant. Absorbs moisture.

You might try this with crown "open".

i had the same problem with my mille miglia. I opened the crown and put it in a tupperware plastic box full of uncooked rice and left it for a few weeks. Didn't work (when I put the watch on it misted up again). Then I took the back off and left it in the rice for another 10 days or so. Still didn't work. So then I bought some desiccant from ebay (like the stuff you get in little sachets when you buy electronic stuff. Chucked the rice away filled the box with the desiccant, put the watch (with the back off again) in for about a week and that did the trick.

Try just using a hair dryer and making a few passes on the outside of the crystal. That worked ver quickly for me in similar conditions

I tried everything and nothing worked. Also now the chronos have been displaced . I think the moisture melted the glue and now it's really messed up! Any suggestions? Is it now a goner?
