My latest exotic

Haven't posted here in a while.

I've had many exotics over the past three years (python, tree snake, croc, elephant, ostritch), but I think this one is the best. Stingray. Great pearl pattern, bulletproof, and as thick as any strap I've owned. 5.5mm

This strap was custom made.

The only exotic I haven't purchased but would like is a bony croc.

I've also had Kudu from Strapmaster ($200 strap), but never hippo. I've scored LOTS of beaver tail in my days

wow the perfect match! tootall, i would keep it on the low-low about the hippo or the beaver-tail, if it ever got out to the athoritys you may have to go away for a long while :wink:

Both of these are leathers I am using for upcoming straps. They pass the CITES regulations so now worries there. I just love how beaver tail looks. It should wear just as well. Sorry for the thread crapping, Caseydog.

CITES has developed the guidelines and approvals for these rare hides.

You would be surprised at how many leathers there are in the world. Craziest one I have seen so far has been turkey leather. If I was able, I would love to get a hold of some rhino leather, but I doubt that will ever happen.

Unknown maker. The strap came from a Risti. I'm going to guess it's either a KWong or Pam2Pam.

Thanks for the nice comments. Many people thumb their noses at exotics. I caught some flak from people for my elephant strap (which I sold).
