Right then, I've said hello and I thought that my next aim should be a little post on my collection so far. I'm presuming that RWI is much the same as RWG and that you all like pictures, so without any further ado here we go.....

First up here's my watch box, a present from the wife for Xmas, and no the pink watch isn't mine (oh yes it is I hear someone typing...); it belongs to my daughter who wanted her watch in with all of mine.....

This Pam 312 was my first rep, still have it and love it....

Next up is my beloved 45mm PO, such a fantastic looking watch with a really solid feel on the wrist:

Another favorite here, Chopard MM GT XL, fantastic looking watch and has been nothing but trouble (mechanically....), all OK now and on a nice asso Bob strap....

Cheap B&R (£30 !!!), but it runs well and looks good for the money

Recent purchase is a SOA 42mm and this is very nice:

Another favorite Pam here, the lovely looking 286:

This is a gen, and was my granddad's retirement watch, solid gold case and a Swiss Eterna movement. Has been recently serviced and runs nicely now:

...and finally the only other gen I own is this citizen Ecodrive, lovely watch and very light (being Titanium...) and great as grab and go watch:

I have had a few other reps, but they weren't keepers:

  • Omega PO GMT - was too small on the wrist
  • Sub C - again too small on the wrist
  • Two Tag grand carreras (one SS and PVD) - but whilst they looked nice in the pictures, the flesh they felt quite dull
  • Steelfish V2 - lovely looking watch, but the chunky bezel and small dial didn't really feel right to me in terms of proportions

I have a few more incoming and hope to post some pictures of those as well.

Cheers
Hornet.

Pam 286 chrono works very well, but it can't do the rattrapante function, not with the 7750 movement. It does have the other hand, but this just rotates with the other and the third pusher does nothing.....

......to be honest, after my experiences with the Chopard chrono, I prefer not to actually ever use that feature on any chrono watches; too much risk of slipping the seconds hand and then not having it reset at zero. Funny not to use it I know, but it's the look of the watch I like not the chrono feature.

Very nice collection. The PO looks beautiful.
I agreed with you about the chrono. I have the same issue with my Graham oversize.

Thanks! The Eterna is beautiful, but unfortunately a little small........

....here is a picture of the caseback inside:

Dennison (UK watch maker) bought the movements and put them in their own cases. The outer face is inscribed with the typical retirement message, but it was interesting for me as it told me where he worked, which my dad couldn't remember......

....and this is it on the original, very worn, strap and presentation box:

Again, thanks....
.......PO is lovely. The weight, the bracelet style and the beautiful dial. I had a look at a gen in an ADs recently and was really shocked at how good the rep was. This PO originally came with a 2813 POS movement, should have had a 2836, but well that's life in this hobby. It originally had just a thread stripping issue on the crown, but when the watchsmith discovered the movement issue, well suffice to say that now it runs with a gen ETA 2836.

Chrono's can be a pain, the chopard I've got is beautiful, but OMG the problems I've had with that; missing caseback screws, slipping seconds hand, losing time, etc. However, now it's been fully stripped and serviced it runs like a dream; long power reserve and chrono works perfectly......

great pics thanks for sharing. that 286 looks amazing...

It is beautiful rep, the dial is amazing to look at.....
.....but funnily enough I don't wear it very often, partly the rubber strap. Am waiting for an incoming handmade Croc strap and an asso to try on it.

Thank you!

BTW, which version of the Pelagos have you got (KW or ZF) and what do you think of it?

KW. And it's one of the best rep's I've ever had.

Hmmm, I really do like the look of them. I know some people find them boring, but I love the clean, fresh and modern look it has....
