I opened the package with great anticipation. Removed the plastic film and the bracelet fell apart. It looks like none of the screws were tightened in the links. Some are still loose and can be seen petruding out of the bracelet.

It happens, these watches take a beating in transit, but should be an easy enough fix. i suggest if you can't do it yourself, take it to a watchsmith near you, I'm sure they can fix it. Did you notify Andrew? He may offer you a better solution.

That's just bad luck mate. I've bought going on for a hundred watches (including a few from Trusty) and have never had anything like that happen!!!! Good look sorting it as per the advice advice.

I've emailed Andrew and am awaiting a response. If I order a 1.4mm Bergeon screwdriver can I easily fix this myself following a youtube video or will it void my warranty with trusty?

Thanks for the replies and support guys. This was my first rep watch purchase so your thoughts were greatly appreciated. On a plus side, I received an AP 15400 in the same package and am delighted with it. I am not sure what the rules are but I can post pics if anyone is interested.

I...or will it void my warranty with trusty?

Mate, you're not dealing with Samsung or Ford or someone lol. Yes, just fix it if it's easy. I've never seen one come apart like that though! A Bergeon screwdriver isn't really necessary either, though they are good. AF Swiss or Horotec are more than suitable if you can grab them cheaper.

Re 100 watches, I was exaggerating slightly plus I've sold a lot too so i only have about 60 left. As for what I do with them, I wear them! Two or three a day and your soon rattle through them!

Andrew from trustytime replied saying I accepted the qc photos and to fix it with loctite glue. He was so friendly and helpful pre-sale. He's a bit more direct post sale . Regarding the qc photos which I did accept, the bracelet had the plastic film over it so it was impossible to tell that the screw pins might be loose. I feel he is passing the blame on to me?
Is using glue seriously a respectable thing to do?

Don't forget, the TD's deal with many many emails daily. I'm sure he didn't mean to come off rude. Andrew is a good dude. I have used him for all my purchases and he's always provided great service.

I see Andrew is replacing complete bracelet for you so everything is now A OK !!! However yes he serious about the GLUE ! Your bracelet is an easy DIY fix using the correct sized jewellers screwdriver . When you replace the screws you add a miniscule amount of LOCTITE 242 Thread Lock ! This will stop the screws working loose and the glue is easily softened using hot ( Very) water or other heat source should you need to resize the bracelet at a later date . As for respectable i believe Rolex LOCTITE the screws on genuine watches .

You are on the right track. Buy very good tools. Cheap tools are expensive when you ruin your bracelet.

You can use the removable loctite. It is blue in color.
