My First Rep - PO

I was looking for a new watch and decided on a rep. I came across this forum and learnt a lot.
I had decided on a Tag Calibre 17RS2 but couldn't find one within budget. I read some great stories but also some horrors eg. Watch DOA, customs seizing/taxing.
I didn't want to risk few hundred dollars so decided on an economy watch to start.
Not finding a true enough rep for Tag, I saw that PO's were common and quite close to gen (for non-chronos) for the average person. Only watch connoisseurs would tell.
Got my economy PO....6 days to post from China to UK (EMS).

Will buy higher rep soon....though no idea which.
Pics below.

Nice AR (to me), nice weight, nice bracelet/clasp, no happy feet.
Usual minor flaws but I'm thoroughly impressed..... For an 'economy'.

Only slight issue I have with it is that it loses 12seconds over 24hours.

If you get it serviced they can get the timing improved.
And 12seconds doesn't sound too bad for a new unserviced rep.

Nice watch, congrats!
As stated you can have it regulated by a wachsmith if your bothered by the 12 seconds loss per day.

How much would a watchsmith charge to service/regulate ??
I'm in UK, anyone know of one or used one ??
Thanks.

Regulating and servicing are quite different. To service a movement you need to tear it apart completely and my watchsmith in italy wants about 100 eur (plus spare parts cost if needed).
Regulating instead only requires him to open the case back and he does it for 10 eur.
IDK what the price might be in UK.
Cheers

Ok...this is weird.
I set the time on Mon 6pm (after wearing watch all day). Took it off and left facing up.
Wore it Tues. lost 12sec by 6pm. Left it facing up overnight.
Wore it We'd. Lost another 12sec (24sec total) by 7pm. Left it facing up.
Did not wear on Thurs.

Now I'm surprised as it's still running 24hours after taking off (good reserve!!).....BUT it has not lost anymore time. Still 24sec behind.

Any explanations ??

I'm going to let it run down to see how much power reserve it has.
I think it's an Asian 2813 movement.

Timekeeping is affected by the inclination of the movement.
12 seconds are not much, especially on a 2813. I think your watch runs fine.
Have a watchsmith take a look at it, however, I think it will be money well spent if you want to keep it.
Cheers

Thanks for that.
The watch this morning was still running.....36hours !!!
For an economy rep, I think that's very good.
Also, time is now only 17sec slow.

As the watch has been running out of power, it's speeding up a little !!

Looking good! I didn't realize there were still any UPOs available. Is this one still considered UPO or more of a silix special?

It's a 42mm.
I got it from Robbie (aobobiz), recommended here.
I think it's better than the Silix special (based on a Silix economy review)....but I'm no expert !!!
Certainly keeping time ok.
I've noticed that the seconds hand does jump slightly occasionally.
