Hello everyone.

I stumbled upon this forum in my search for an Ulysse Nardin Genghis Khan replica (i cannot afford the gen). In one of my searches I found this forum and it's a great site with a forum like this one does have a lot of useful information. Great work and a big thanks to all admin and contributors :)

I decided to buy a UN to start with since I always wanted to wear one and bought the Maxi Marine Diver. I found a few with one of the TDs PureTIme.
The whole experience with pure time was smooth. Ordered, next day money collected from WU and day after QC pics in my inbox. It took exactly a week to get the watch in my hand in Sweden. Very happy with their service so far.

Below are a few pics:

About the watch. I do not have a gen to compare, but just comparing with the pics available online, I can tell that there are a few flaws,
Like the seconds sub-dial at 6 is not the same as gen, looks bigger and also has a different shape near the centre of the watch.

The lume is not that great, but works for me.
The bracelet is not at all of good quality, sharp edges, not polished properly and rough in handling (needs oil).

But overall happy with the watch too. I've been reading on the forum that there are no perfect reps, this aint either but a this is a very good rep imho. The functional power reserve works fine, the movement seems smooth...

But now after wearing it for a week, I noticed a small area on the crystal to be damaged or something. I do not know what it is, it looks like when there is oil on water..
Does anyone here know what it is?

I checked with PT, even they do not know what it is and they asked me to send it back to them to check. I do not know if that is of any use as of now without knowing what it is.

Thanks!

It looks like it's on the inside(behind the crystal). It is some kind of manufacturing defect I feel.

I've had mine for a few months and I'm very happy with it. As you say it's not the most accurate rep, but it is also cheap. I must have got lucky with my bracelet, it feels very nice. Even my Rolex certified Rolex watch smith friend didn't know the model well enough to call me out straight away. He asked, I told him straight out, he put a loupe on it and could see it wasn't proper, but to be fair the chances of meeting someone familiar with the model very low.

It makes a great beater. Enjoy your new watch and the hobby.
