I'm a HUGE Replica fan. I have been ever since a Doctor friend of mine showed me his collection. All of his gold watches are real. He said it's hard to replicate the look and feel of solid gold. But all of his stainless steel watches are Replicas. What blew me aways was the difference between a Replica and a cheap knock off. He handed me a Rollie Sub and I thought it was real. Then he handed me another Rollie Sub and I could tell by the weight and feel it was a cheap knock off. Boy is there a big difference in the different typs of Replicas.
I bought my first PAM, PAM 190 from Amatory many many years ago, then the 2 Rollie's from globalreplica. The last 2 PAM's, PAM 241 and 005 from a seller on Ioffer. The 241 and 005 were only $100.00 USD, so I didn't expect much. They are nice time keepers for the price.
The PAM 190 needs to be re-lumed to get rid of that greenish huew. And of course the Cannon Pin needs to be corrected.
Who on here does that kind of work and how do I get in touch with them?
Also I have worn the Rollie Sub as a daily beater for years and I knocked the mother of pearl out of the bezel. Where can I get another?
Panatime has supplied me with several different straps for the PAM190. I have a Rob Montana on the PAM241 and a Steve-o-strap on the PAM005.
Glad to be part of this community.
Cheers friends!
