I was fortunate enough to purchase my 127 a few weeks back from Bruce79, and I was totally blown away. In the sale thread, the Mighty Babola pegged it as an early Swiss ETA 6497-1 in an Eddie Lee "version 2" case. Needless to say, I didn't need much more convincing. It was a great price, great sale from a great member, great watch. Only problem was, I was strapless! We all know how difficult it is to be patient just waiting for our reps to arrive, imagine having it in your hot little hands, but not being able to wear it!!! :D

So I started feverishly hunting, and settled on a custom-order with Savage. Again, great to deal with, walked me through the whole process (my first custom-strap), and my new shoes arrived yesterday. Every single bit of praise heaped upon his craftsmanship in this forum is 100% DESERVED. I'm again blown away, and I don't honestly know if this thing is ever going to leave my wrist!

Anyways, I wanted to share my joy, and post a couple shots here, if I may... Thanks again to Bruce79 and Savage, I can't recommend either of them highly enough.

God that's a nice watch! When I first started on the rep forums and someone posted a Fiddy, I honestly didn't like it one bit, but looking at it over and over on the forums have made me like the watch so much I want one now! :|

I think I've spent more time looking at my wrist than working today! :D

First Panerai, to clarify... ;) I'd be a lot wealthier man if it were my first watch! Thanks for the kind words.

Hey G, can you send it back to me for a weekend...I already miss it.

Looks great my friend, excellent strap choice if I may say so. Though I don't know how you went so long waiting for your strap.

Drive up to LA, I'll let you wear it around the block a few times! ;) I don't think I can bear to be apart from it for longer than that... :D If you decide to sell your 036 like you mentioned, then we can talk about including some 127-wrist-time in the deal!!!

I don't know how I waited either. I sort of hid it so I wouldn't think about it... out of sight, out of mind!
(I'm lying, I wound and stared at just the watch head for a few minutes every day!)

Fakey - I damn near hit a Jaguar on the drive home. (car, not jungle-cat) This is getting dangerous.

I know this was probably meant as a compliment, and I'm sure you were talking in general about the overall look of the strap. But I want to point out that this strap is really not like a Greg Stevens. It's made by me, not by some other guy and then sold under my brand. And, it's handmade and hand-stitched. Sorry to sound a little touchy.

Thanks for the comments though. And, I love the look on the Fiddy. It's just what I was hoping for.

Dude... You're, like, famous!

Great watch!

@ savage, yeah, I think h_u meant that hide looks like the OG Greg Crazy Horse hide. Which *is* a good thing. I agree, though, as far as what the straps really are, yours and his are worlds apart.... Which is also a good thing, for you and us!
