Arrived the other day off Robert (T4D). I paid a bit extra for a swan neck and flush cannon pin but what the heck. Can't fault the dealer, good comms, fast delivery and a quality watch at a cheap price. I'll certainly be contacting him when I purchase my next rep. More pics to follow when I get the time.

Needs the cg pin modding but thats no biggy, the rubber strap is o.k. (I'm currently looking for a decent aftermarket leather strap for a good price) and before anyone say's it, yes, the pic is very grainy and 80's, I meant to shoot it like that... 8)

[blink:3da64pp4]BUGGER...[/blink:3da64pp4]
I love this watch, I've only worn it once. I set the time then tried to wind it tonight and guess what, the winding mechanism won't engage and the hands just spin around. It's obviously a keyless issue. I've had plenty of experience assembling and re-assembling them on ETA 2824/2836 but never on this type of movement. Now here's my dilema, do I take the watch to bits and attempt to fix it or contact Robert who's not back from Europe until the 20th? I've never had to return a watch before, guess I've been lucky so far and to date the only fault I've had was a second hand coming loose on an SMP which was an easy fix...advice please...and as I said 'BUGGER!'... :(

i am not a movement person so i would have to send it back. if you are comfortable with doing it and have a good relationship with mark i would give it a shot. does he know you are able to work on them just in case it is something it does need to go back for? you wouldn't want him thinking you caused some kind of problem by messing with it.

Occasionally the set lever screw can works it way loose causing the stem to slip while winding. It's a easy fix if that is the problem. Maybe the dealer will let you try to fix it since it is an easy repair and if you can't he can still take it back. I dunno just a suggestion.

That's what I plan to do. As I said above I've done a few keyless works on 2824/2836 plus stripped and serviced a complete 2836 that runs fine and as far as I'm aware this movement seems less complicated. Robert seems an up front guy and if it is, as we suspect, a simple keyless thing the worst case scenario is a dial off and reassembly of the keyless which I'm fairly confident in doing. I'll wait until he get's back, pm him and see what he say's. Perhaps when the movement was upgraded his watchmaker never fully tightened the screw?
Thanks for the advice... :)

After working on those other movements this should be a piece of cake and hopefully you won't need to take the dial or the movement out. Fingers crossed. :D
