Hi guys,

I'm gonna start with saying sorry for the lack of photo's of the surgery, I work in between office hours and I lack the time to document everything.
So here it is, my first ever build, sourced the parts from all over the web, adds up to roughly the same amount as I would need to buy a new ZF Fiddy
I started collecting the parts months ago when there were only rumours of a new launch....

I sourced a swiss 6497-1, removed the rough plating to reveal the brass underneath, gives a nice golden hue :)
The case I found through a guy on ebay, lots of negotiating, mailing back & forth, and It finally arrived. The dial is a bit yellow/brownish so not very gen-like but I like it anyway :)
The CG was sourced on this lovely forum from Pratt, thank you man!

Onto the crappy pics:

I'm gonna wear it for a while, and maybe sell it on or give it to my dad, we'll see :)

Certainly not going to be the last build ever!
Cheers

It leaves a completely different taste when you build it from parts doesn't it?
Bravo on your first build, keep it going! :)

I never removed a balance wheel, was it difficult to put it back in place?

Well the balance wheel is the least tricky, the escape wheel is more tricky as it has two very fine pins that break easily. The balance wheel just has to be put back carefully and just about right, then just rub the wheel to make it slot into the groove on the anchor (correct name?!)

Thank you on your compliments!

The parts all together was about 350€, probably more [emoji23]
