this one came from rubys nice replica. she also gave a choice of the wide or standard font. she also does her own quality control. plus i like her pictures better.

So was there a reason you went with incorrect DW font?

Last time I spoke to her, she wa unable to source BCEs with correct Breit DW font, although those "other" cartel dealers could.

the reason was. '' she would need to special order it '' the newer models are suppose to be a correct date font.

I tried on the BCE the other day at the Tourneau in Roosevelt Field Mall in NY. The watch is very nice, but a little bligy for my taste.
It was a second hand and they still wanted $3800.00 for It!!!!!
They had Emergency watches going for $4300.00!!!! WOW......rip off.
The AD was nice, I was wearing my Debaufre NAV-B so no worries on getting "Pwned"

Yup, daylight robbery...you should get a brand new BCE for less than that these days, depending on your 'negotiation' skills
My AD will go for as low as 28% off on new Breitlings these days..tempting... :wink:

Thanks for the great pix and info re dealing with Ruby, Patrick. It is good to know you are receiving such excellent service.

I think you will really like the Omega Speedmaster; I just got the HB-SIA (first watch on the moon) commemorative edition, and keep it on my desk by the pc so i can just look at it every once in awhile. Solid, well designed and constructed. They are even nicer in reality than the pix, and the pix are usually pretty good. Unless you have a really large wrist you might want to see if Ruby can get it sized for you and save you the extra links, because it has a large (diameter) band. She would want your wrist measurements of course. I would do mine myself but am concerned I might scratch the bracelet.

and if so what color are the hands?

recently received mine and the hands are BLACK
i'm having to now get replacement SILVER hands to bring the rep up to spec.

Unless you bought a cheap Canal st quality BCE rep, the hands will be silver. Neither of the 2 rep factories currently making good quality BCEs install black hands on their Chronomats.

Just as guru, I'm perplexed and would like to know what you've actually received. Would you mind sharing a photo with us. If you don't feel like posting it publicly send me a PM, no probs.

Just been advised by another fellow member that sometimes you may end up with black hands if you order blue dial BCE. I'm hoping these are few and far between and not the norm these days.
Ruby is one of the dealers that offers blue dial BCE with correct color hand stack.
