After being an eBay seller on and off since 2010, I decided to report that I will suspend any sales, or even purchases on eBay. Simply too many headaches recently. Folks reversing payments on PayPal without wanting to return the item, placing my paypal in the red without speaking to me first, folks wanting half a refund but still wanting to keep the item, the strap looked better in the picture route. Recently I received a $1.29 watch in the mail I did not pay for. Not working of course considering the price. Yet the seller wanted to go as far as come to my front door for payment. I'm not sure why he shipped it to me in the first place. Just headache after headache.

Unfortunately eBay is biased toward the seller. Not sure if it's intentional but that's just the way it is. I've had problems with people trying to return items that were perfectly fine and in both cases I've won but with so much hassle and time wasted. If I sell there now then I do it knowing I might get screwed so i try and stick with low value items.

eBay makes their money off the sellers, so yes they are biased towards them. I've had problems on both ends though.

i feel your pain.
I sold a watch a few months ago. about 2 weeks later, i received positive feedback from the buyer with glowing praise.
6 weeks later I see the feedback had been changed to negative saying that the watch leaked water in.
I never received any message or email from the buyer.

Changed? Since when can you change feedback on eBay?

Buyers can 'modify' feedback they've left (- at least they could awhile back ) but you have to go through several hoops to do it - it's almost as if Ebay doesn't want you to know it's possible to do - weird.

I did it once - won a Rolex buckle at auction, very low price as I was the only bidder. After a week,no comms from the seller, sent a message asking if it had shipped - no reply. Checked his account and he'd been selling and shipping since the auction I won. Few days later I left negative feedback saying seller wouldn't honor the auction sale - the only time I've left neg feedback - 1 HOUR later I get a foul message from him on Ebay saying he's been ill in bed for 2 weeks and that I've ruined his rep on Ebay...so he left negative & insulting feedback on me.... in the end he sent the buckle, I modified my feedback, Ebay wouldn't let him modify his.
