A Couple of weeks ago I solicited information here on the forum on the 'Marina Militare' face I received from Davidsen as a replacement for the original brown one for my Deco Bezel. I was never happy with the smudgy writing. You all agreed. I wrote to Davidsen who immediately offered to replace the dial at no charge--despite this being many months since I received the dial. The new dial arrived yesterday. Is that great service or what?! Thank you David! Spent last night putting the whole thing together. The new dial is beautiful. In the process I made the watch a Destro because I'm a lefty. I also took off a couple of the metal shims on the bridges and repositioned them to fit as accurately as possible. Finally, I was able to polish out the scratches I had put on the hands. I'm assuming the now-shiny brass will dull to match the rest of the hands. I did have a devil of a time getting the crown in without screwing up the keyless works. Very delicate on a Molnija--unless someone knows tricks. The whole thing is set off on a Savage strap that Scot stitched on for me a while back--and which is now backwards because the watch is now a Destro. I'm a happy guy....... Thanks for the advice, everyone. Here's a pic:
