a very long hot sweaty night to remember!!!
for those who is bored, please read what i want to share.
thanks for cheering me up on the CG guys, really appreciate that. i'm happy to be part of this REP family. after reading all of the comments, i contacted my TD to seek for his advise on the moisture. after the next hour, he replied me harshly > please DO NOT wear the watch until you open it up and dry it.
without wasting time, after dinner, i've decide to open the back case. then only i realized that my watch tool can only open MAX 42mm case. i googled on how to open pam's watch case, and i came across someone mentioning by using rubber gloves. i march straight in to my wife's studyroom and grab a pair of my wife's rubber gloves (she's a doctor, she has tons of it). when she saw me taking a pair of her disposable rubber gloves, she asked me why do i need it for?? i replied politely - i've just finished downloading a new series of MILF BUSTERS...so please dont bother me for the rest of the night..she responded with a smile n walk off.
at 1st i felt kinda nervous because it's gonna be my 1st time opening a watch case. but the stubborn part of me insist i perform. in my own study room, i successfully opened the back case with a little pressure while turning it. i was impressed to see the engravings of OFFICINE PANERAI OP III....with some serial number next to it. after few minutes on observing how the movement works, i forgot to ask my TD what to do after i'd opened the back case. should i just leave it open? hair blower? or i should just throw it in to my camera dry box...but since i'd already opened it, might as well i remove the movement and clean the crystal (pubes and finger marks) that's sticking underneath it.
again, i google on how to remove the crown, without finish reading the guide i proceed -
1) by pressing a button and pulling it out ( did it flawlessly)... i was too smart on re-inserting it back without pressing the the button, (because i didnt finish reading the tutorial on how to reinsert the crown), now the crown dont seem to click into the movement and i start to panic. but i resolved my problem by completely reading the tutorial.
2) then removing "2" tiny screws that's holding the watch mount against the watch case (did it with a bit of fuss because the rotor kept turning around, i should have remove the rotor as well but i wasn't the brave)
3) when the movement is free from the mounting, i gently flip the watch with a piece of cloth holding the movement and remove the movement (not sure if this is the proper way of doing it)
4) i looked into my crystal and MY GOODNESS, it's filled with dust and tiny pubes...i clean (rub) it with my camera lens pen forgetting if that could ruin the AR on the watch...but it was too late.
HERE COMES THE PROBLEM....i'm no doctor, my hands cant really handle micron particles because of my shaky hands, so i shouted my wife for help " dear, please come in to the room and give a hand" and she replied " i'm not gonna masturbate for you " :lolcina:..after few minutes on explaining my intention she agreed to help and i apologies for telling her not to bother me...
indeed she's good with the tools, without any mistake she placed the mounts and screws perfectly and suddenly she was called to the hospital and i was left alone to tighten back the back case...(not a problem)..after struggling on twisting the case, the moment i flip my watch, i saw A F**KING EYEBROW inside the crystal....i almost got shocked to death...knowing i have to re-do every single step again but this time i'm all alone...
since the back case is really really tight, i was having some problem unscrewing my back case (i sweat my butt off while doing it). and again, removing every single damn screw on the movement, flip it over and remove THAT F**KING EYEBROW away with my blower. i place my moment back into the case, then prepare myself (a few puffs of my cigarette) for placing the mount and screws. surprisingly, my hands were quite steady, but i guess i was holding my clippers too hard and the tiny screw bounce out from my clipper and i lost the screw :frusty: i kinda saw the screw fell on to my floor, but i didnt see where did it bounce to...NOW I REALLY REGRET ON NOT KEEPING MY STUDY ROOM CLEAN....due to the dust n stuffs on the floor, it took me 3 FREAKING hours to find the screw until my wife came back and saw the screw sticking on my pants :frusty::frusty::frusty: i AGAIN explained to her what happened after she left, she laughed and agreed to help, i apologies again and cried. now my pam is clean on the inside. and is resting in my dry box.
conclusion: FOR THOSE NOOBS WHO HAS THE BALLS TO EXPLORE WHAT'S INSIDE THE WATCH....GOOGLE HOROLOGY 101 AND FINISH READING IT BEFORE YOU START, A PROPER WATCH REPAIR DESK, AND KEEP YOU WORK SPACE CCCCLLLLEEEANNN.
